Tomorrow will witness the Zoning the City conference, co-sponsored by New York's zoning czarina Amanda Burden and Harvard professor Jerold S. Kayden, who literally wrote the book on privately-owned public spaces (POPS). In advance of the wonk convention, WNYC and Columbia conducted a crowd-sourced survey of 150 of the city's 391 POPS to "gauge whether the private entities were keeping the public parks truly public and user-friendly." More on that tomorrow; in the meantime, sweet dreams of density and height regulation! [Zoning the City via A/N Blog]
