Fire-Damaged DoBro Church Seeks Developer To Add Apartments, Square Footage

Church-to-condo conversions have generally been a win for Brooklyn developers (we're lookin' at you, Strong Place Church), so we're not surprised to see another Brooklyn property owner thinking about making that move. This time it's the officials of DoBro's New Baptist Temple, seeking to renovate after a three-alarm fire. They've got 40,000 square feet to play with, and according to the Journal, they're looking to go even bigger: one possibility is an addition that would more than double the building's size. They're seeking a real estate developer partner for a mixed-use project at the site that would include new church space and apartments. Judging by a listing for the property, the partnership opportunity will cost an interested developer somewhere around $8 million.
