The NYPD came in the night to clear out Zuccotti Park, site of the Occupy Wall Street protest, arresting 70 and promising that the protestors could return to the park, minus tents and sleeping bags, once it has been cleaned. In the interim, the protestors have other plans: shutting down Wall Street this morning, occupying the subways at 3 p.m., and returning to Foley Square at 5 p.m.. According to a press release we found in the Curbed inbox, the protestors will also be convening at Sixth Avenue and Canal Street while Zuccotti Park is inaccessible. [NYT; CurbedWire Inbox]
