The folks behind Extend NY have put together the cool map thing to end all cool map things (spotted by Bowery Boogie). The site takes map data and pretends that the numbered portion of the New York City street grid has been continued over the entire world. From that premise, the site can tell you the cross streets wherever you are (or daydream of being while actually sitting at your desk). Never ask for directions again!
