The slow progress of the Gowanus Whole Foods continues: it has been calendared for a Board of Standards and Appeals hearing on Tuesday, December 13. Whole Foods needs a variance for its hoped-for 56,000-square-foot store, because current zoning allows only 10,000 square feet. Whole Foods is claiming hardship in hope of getting the variance; Community Board 6 has already taken Whole Foods' side. [PMFA]
