Fashion designer Zang Toi purchased a small apartment on East 75th Street in 2004 and worked his magic on it: the original parquet floors are now black, the trademark UES gilding is gone, and according to an Elle Decor write-up, there's a "minimalist palette of black and white accents lacing it all together." Sounds nice, and probably accounts for the fact that the 1BR, 1.5BA place is now listed for $2.8 million after Toi purchased it for $1.255 million. [Curbed National]
