Long-Stalled Upper East Side Building Making a Comeback

New, 2 comments

Five tenements at the corner of 79th Street and Third Avenue were demolished in early 2009, and the site?a planned 19-story residential project?has been in stalled project limbo ever since. No more! A Fine Blog notices that the cellar has finally been dug and the foundation is in progress. So what's coming? According to DOB permits, 57 units, which A Fine Blog hears will be condos. Since there's a total of 140,000 square feet of residential space, the units will be over 2,000 square feet. Also planned: storage, a bike room, and a "traditional" design from Cetra/Ruddy. Anyone got renderings? Send 'em over!
