Emeril Lagasse Lists Upper East Side Townhouse for $15M

New, 7 comments

It was just last year that chef Emeril Lagasse finally sold his Midtown condo after three years and six PriceChops. He had bid the place farewell in 2009 for a townhouse at 158 East 61st Street?and he already wants out of that home, too. The Post reports that Emeril just put the house on the market for $15 million after paying $11.5 million for it. He allegedly wants to move to smaller place, and we don't blame him: six-story mansions with 1,000 square feet of terraces can be tough to keep up. The place is listed with Gumley Haft Kleier, so maybe we'll be seeing it on Selling New York.
We can't resist a peek at the kitchen brokerbabble:

The custom Small Bone kitchen with marble floors includes double SubZero refrigerators and freezers, a 150 bottle wine refrigerator, custom walnut cabinetry, Wolf commercial stove with two ovens and a pantry. The informal dining room has oak floors, a banquette and overlooks the south facing English garden. The gallery and the kitchen feature radiant heat floors. Bam! And here's one more look inside:
