The Times took a little tour of a gut renovated duplex on 87th and West End Avenue, revealing an apartment designed by a man with a deep hatred for all doorknobs and an equally potent love for wine. He bought the upper floor of the duplex for $685,000 back in 2005 as a total gut job. When the lower floor came on the market a few years later, he couldn't help himself and picked the place up for around the same ask. What's the result been? Clean and sleek, but not sterile. We like, we like. Want to get the full tour treatment? Well, there's an audio slide show right here.
