Extreme Makeovers

Manhattan Magazine digs into the renovation of 14-16 East 67th Street, the former Bob Guccione mansion now undergoing a makeover by Philip and Lisa Falcone. We've already discussed the mansion's fix-up in depth, but the magazine delves deeper into the Guccione era: "The more intimidating security squad was stationed beyond the white marble entry hall, past the El Greco, and inside a plush sitting room. This is where Penthouse founder Bob Guccione’s Rhodesian ridgebacks, prized lion hunters in their native South Africa, prowled among the sofas and priceless antiques." Sounds like a fun place for a holiday party! [Manhattan; previously]
