Scouting NY has some unfortunate news for fans of the abandoned Terra-Cotta Works building under the 59th Street bridge: the place is a total wreck inside. A Scouting NY tipster who managed to get inside writes, "“It was totally gutted inside. Floors and walls all gone. There was one small alcove of original work left: a 2nd floor fireplace, right under the triple chimneys. Completely covered with about 45 layers of paint. Ugh." Click through for a photographic timeline of the building as a consolation. [SNY]
