The modern townhouse at 40 Willow Place, which the tax man has as the most valuable house in Brooklyn, found a buyer late last month after just 46 days on the market. That's a real slap in the face for some of its high-priced competition in Brooklyn Heights, but this 45-foot-wide house has something that most neighborhood dwellings don't: a modern look. 40 Willow Place was designed by local architects Mary and Joseph Merz in the '60s, and they consulted on the most recent renovations as well.
