Checking In on Construction at DJ's Hotel BPM in Sunset Park

SUNSET PARK?We've been eagerly awaiting Hotel BPM, a Sunset Park hotel that was originally slated to open this past summer. The 76-room hotel is run by DJ Bijal, the name stands for "beats per minute," there will be a soundtrack streaming constantly, and there will be an evening/weekend light show consisting of "automated, neon tube lights and giant project equalizers bouncing up and down in time to the music." The hotel's website gives only the vaguest of opening dates?sometime in 2012?but a tipster passing by late last week sent along some construction shots.
