Home prices fell 3.4 percent in October in the 20 U.S. cities tracked by the Case-Shiller Home Price Index. The decline?which was 1.2 percent month-to-month?was at the upper end of the range predicted by analysts. Home prices are now hovering around levels seen in mid 2003. Of course, the index is missing some crucial NYC numbers: the figures for new developments, co-ops, and condos. [IB Times]
