What Went Wrong

Now that Cornell's been chosen as the winner for the city-supported engineering campus on Roosevelt Island, it's time for a post-mortem from losing bidder Stanford. An FAQ posted on the Stanford news page reveals that the university spent about $3 million on the proposal (most of that went toward consultants and architects), but that ultimately Stanford "could not accept the level of risk that the city wanted us to accept." The university still plans to partner with CCNY on an undergraduate entrepreneurship curriculum, however. [Stanford News via Roosevelt Islander]
