Midtown's Massive One57 Officially Launches Sales

New, 20 comments

The day the Extell PR machine has been preparing us for is finally here: One57 is officially on the market. It's been quietly selling to mostly foreign buyers for weeks, but now it's open to the rest of us?or at least, the rest of us who have a minimum of $6.75 million to spend (rumored highest price: $98.5 million). The 90-story Christian de Portzamparc-designed tower will include 95 condos atop a Park Hyatt hotel, and the press release offers a few more details on interiors and amenities:

[Interior designer Thomas] Juul-Hansen took inspiration from de Portzamparc’s exterior?with a nod to French modernists such as Jean Michel Frank?.ONE57 will offer The “Extell Choice” a unique value proposition allowing buyers to choose from a fine selection of finishes, design and layout packages to tailor homes to individual tastes. Purchasers may choose from a selection of hand-crafted kitchen cabinetry from Smallbone of Devizes, rich rosewood flooring in a French herringbone pattern or select rift sawn white oak, slabs of Italian marble and custom hardware and light fixtures.
Residential amenities include a 24-hour doorman and concierge, screening and performance space, on-site parking, triple-height indoor swimming pool and custom Jacuzzi, library, catering kitchen, function room, arts and crafts atelier room, private fitness center, yoga studio and pet wash room. The pet wash room: a big step up from the dog shower when it comes to pet equality. We don't see any official listings online yet or any renderings apart from the above, but we've reached out to building reps for more specific pricing info.
