The St. Vincent De Paul Church on North Sixth Street was recently sold, after it became too expensive for the Brooklyn Diocese to maintain. While the diocese has busied itself removing stained glass windows and the church's two-ton bronze bell for the use of other parishes, neighbors have been fretting over the fact that the church's buyer may tear down the building completely. Zoning permits a residential development up to 50 feet tall. Anyone know what's coming? The tipline appreciates your intel. [BK Paper]
