Karl Fischer's East Village Townhouse Replacement Unveiled

New, 5 comments

Everyone's favorite architect, the one and only Karl Fischer, has had designs on the lots at 316 and 318 East 3rd Street for a few months. Now, thanks to The Local, we have an idea of what those designs are. The 33-unit building rendered above and being developed by Brody/Amirian is replacing the c. 1900 townhouse that previously occupied the spot. (And hey, it looks kinda like another local Karl Fischer newbie.) All 33 units will be rentals, "with rents and finishes commensurate with the downtown demographic and that will work for students, artists and local residents," according to Brody/Amirian's Eric Brody. It's not really the finishes that worry us.
