Chelsea Townhouse Loses Its Sense of Fun?and $2.5 Million

New, 6 comments

Back when it earned a Development Du Jour spot as a four-unit building from some FLAnk alums, 150 West 15th Street had a sense of fun. There were even rubber duckies in the renderings! But sometime between March 2008 and now?can we blame the economy??the building decided to grow up and get serious. It put itself back on the market asking a steep $22 million for "one of the greatest townhouses ever built downtown." If greatness is measured in number of home elements controlled by iPad (we count four in the listing), perhaps it's got a case. But buyers weren't, er, buying it, because the property has now been chopped by $2.5 million, or 11 percent, for a new ask of $19.5 million. Can we get a rubber ducky with that?
