Long Island City's SilverCup Hotel and Long Island City's Silvercup Studios (where Gossip Girl and 30 Rock are filmed) have been locked in a dispute over their names and the silvercuphotel.com site, which the hotel purchased. Now, a partial resolution: the hotel (which hasn't opened yet) has agreed to change its name to Hotel Vetiver. But it's keeping the Silvercup domain name, and all the van der Woodsens' and Waldorfs' millions can't do anything about it. [City Room]
