Guess it's not just Brooklyn that's going country. Also Tribeca! The Tribeca Citizen introduces us to the Canal Park Inn, an old-meets-new B&B above the Canal Park Playhouse, which opened in November. (A few performing clowns were the hotel's first guests.) The 1826 building has been renovated into a four-room hotel, with the rooms named after families that once lived in the building. There are claw-foot tubs and other fixtures with an old feel. Cute, right? Of course, the words "Park" and "Inn" don't exactly mesh with our experiences of Canal Street, but all the Canal-facing rooms have triple-glazed windows to block out noise. What police raid?
