How Low Can the Bowery 2.0 Revolution Go? Down to Chinatown

New, 9 comments

There was a time when we wondered whether the oddly shaped steel skeleton rising at the bottom of the Bowery in Chinatown would ever live up to its glassy potential. Silly us for doubting it! NYC The Blog has the facade reveal of 17 Chatham Square, a retail/office project from architect David Hu that replaced an HSBC faux-goda. Tinted glass is apparently the in thing along the Bowery in Chinatown. Pardon us, along "Gentrification Row," which is what NYC The Blog has renamed the Bowery. Catchy!
