What began as a whispered rumor last week now has independent confirmation, according to Cult of Mac: Apple will be opening a store in Grand Central Terminal. Not only that, but the store will reportedly be Apple's largest in the world, beating the 16,372 square feet of public space inside its Covent Garden, London, store. The early word was that Apple wanted its newest outpost to be right inside the terminal, and this may mean taking down walls. Of course, it may also mean tangling with the Landmarks Preservation Commission, so let's not put an opening date in our iCals just yet.
