We weren't sure we'd ever see the day when Courtney Love's epic real estate hunt ended. But perhaps we have. After months of prowling the West Village, with an excursion into Soho and an attempt to use us as brokers, a tipster writes in with word that Courtney has rented 250 West 10th Street, which, until just a few days ago, was on the market asking $28,000/month. The place does share a certain classic feel with a few other homes Love's checked out.
Says our tipster: "Is it possible that Miss Love has actually had the sanity to pick a place that gives her a launching pad for a new life of being taken seriously? Everyone knows that, under the craziness, she has an encyclopedic knowledge of design history....The new place is very Edith Wharton: understated, unostentatious and whispering of old money." The listing broker declined to comment. Is one of our favorite celeb serial house hunters turning over a new leaf? The disappearance of her Twitter feed points to yes.
