Conversions

Carroll Gardens Patch files a tenant-focused update on the conversion of Cobble Hill Towers, the historic rental building where residents and developer Hudson Companies have been fighting over insider condo pricing. The plan requires 15 percent of current residents to buy, and Hudson said it expects to see purchases by 30 percent of them?but tenants tell Patch only two apartments are in contract and eight or 10 residents have already taken a buyout. Others plan to remain as renters because they're unsatisfied with repairs at the building. So everything's par for the condo conversion course. [Patch; previously]
