When we saw the listing for this townhouse at 47 West 92nd Street, everything sounded pretty good. You get 4,000 square feet right off Central Park West in a brownstone with a nice facade for $3,750,000. Not a bad deal. What's not to love? Well, the interior could certainly be described as...polarizing. We love thematic antiques just as much as the next person, but this place is certainly pushing the limits of taste. Overfurnished with the stern gaze of George Washington isn't everyone's bag, but maybe there's an American History scholar who just got an advance from a book deal and is in the market for a house close to Columbia. That could happen, right?
