Waterside Plaza, the large complex of four rental towers east of the FDR near 26th Street, has banned smoking in its public plazas. Smirks Animal, "Despite the vast amount of outdoor space, smokers will now only be permitted to light up in designated areas near the sprawling complex’s residential towers or there’s always the secondary option: Peter Cooper Village." We also just noticed that Waterside Plaza offers a "Farm-to-Lobby" service, which adds to the vague whiff of hippie. [Animal]
