EAST VILLAGE?EV Grieve has been following the story of the new Upright Citizens Brigade Theater coming into the old Two Boots Pioneer space at 3rd Street and Avenue A, specifically some neighbors' anger over the "Hot Chicks Room" sign that went up. The Hot Chicks Room was a sketch from the first episode of the UCB's Comedy Central show, and some residents voiced complaints about the sign being offensive and harmful to children and other nonsense. Anyoo, now the UCB is taking the sign down so as not to ruffle any locals' feathers. We're sure these same people will be begging the community board to yank the UCB's liquor license in six months. MIDTOWN?Recently we've talked about the first batch of sales at the foreigneriffic Setai Fifth Avenue as well as the $28 million penthouse that is suddenly in contract. Today Setai reps put out an official release updating the numbers: "Bizzi & Partners Development is pleased to announce 9 closings totaling over $22 million at The Setai Fifth Avenue Residences, the premier luxury condominium atop New York City’s most exciting new hotel.
