Are Battery Park City's Liberty Twins Going Rental?

New, 8 comments

It's the last available piece of land zoned for residential use in all of Battery Park City, so we've been relying on developer Milstein Properties to make it count with Liberty Luxe and Liberty Green, at 200 and 300 North End Avenue. Construction went quickly and the sales office opened last June. Since then, it's been total silence from the buildings and lots of chatter from BPC tenants hoping to avoid rising rents by buying. But that might not be an option.
A tipster writes in to report that the building hasn't decided whether to stay for sale or go rental. "It looks like it's ready to open within the month -- it already has exercise equipment in the gym," our tipster writes, but StreetEasy shows no listings for either building, and StreetEasy commenters report no response to many attempts to contact the sales office over the past few months and also spread the rental rumor. We've reached out to the sales team and building PR reps to no avail. Anyone got any additional intel? Please direct it to the tipline.
