Once upon a time, aka early 2008, 267 Sixth Street was set to become the site of the first Karl Fischer project in Park Slope, a 107-unit building on the site of a former gas station. Fitting as that may have been, no Hot Karl handiwork materialized. There were rumors of financing and environmental troubles, then a hint that the whole site might be for sale. Now not just a hint: the site is on the market for $14 million. Of course, since there are already approved plans for the 12-story building, rendered at right, a buyer might just want to stick with them. Er, as soon as those former gas station environmental issues are resolved. Hot Karl is standing by for your calls.
