Things haven't been looking good lately for the Timber Shed, the dilapidated structure in the Brooklyn Navy Yard Admiral's Row that the National Guard and the city agreed to preserve while the surroundings were redeveloped. National Guard Bureau engineers have said it's too late to fix the Timber Shed, but Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand would like them to reconsider. They've penned a letter to the army secretary, asking him to allow city officials in to make repairs. If they don't, the renderings will be wrong. [NYDN; previously]
