The 14 Townhouses project was well received by Boerum Hill, the houses were lauded for not being brash Scarano-esque contemporary eyesores. On the contrary, they fit in pretty well with the block. Now, 281 State Street is on the market for $2,950,000 after selling for $2,700,000 in 2007. It's got 3,424 square feet, and looks like it's in pretty good condition. Given that it sold for not much less than the current ask, we think it'll fetch somewhere in the ballpark of what they want. These houses garnered a lot of positive attention back in the day and it's not hard to imagine a brownstone buyer with a more modern taste falling in love with the place.
