The latest bizarre turn in the story of the Park51 Muslim center and mosque: in a new lawsuit, the owners of the 45 Park Place property say Burlington Coat Factory was in such a rush to separate itself from the site that it damaged the building when it took down its signs. The owners are asking Burlington, whose lease ended in 2008 but who didn't take down the signs until late 2009, for $4.1 million for the damage to the building and for "wanton and willful trespass."
