Every other year, the Pritzker Prize?the highest honor on the architecture awards circuit?is awarded to someone we've heard of. This is not one of those years. Your 2011 Pritzker winner is Eduardo Souto de Moura, a Portugese architect not really known outside his home country. Architect's Newspaper has rounded up photos of Souto de Moura's projects, including the Braga Municipal Stadium (above), which, "like much of his work, has strong, highly legible forms." Like all Pritzker winners, Souto de Moura will be showered with fame, fortune, and scripts for lucrative yet unrewarding romantic-comedies.
