Brooklyn developer Juan Figueroa just embarked on a $3 million renovation of the Williamsburgh Savings Bank, his stated goal being to restore the historic building to its former glory while converting it to an events space. Well, add a few more dollars to his tab. Some scofflaw has climbed the scaffolding that's been set up while the building's annex gets demolished and tagged up the joint. That's no way to treat a landmark! Fear not, the Landmarks Preservation Commission's secret police will track the culprit down and issue a punishment in line with historical practice. Dust off the iron maiden!
