Bowing out of a community battle before it ever truly had a chance to turn extra nasty, the promoter of the Brooklyn Night Bazaar has decided to put the plans for the Greenpoint waterfront market/boozefest on hold. He tells Gothamist that "the community opposition was a little too strong," and he'll try again next year. Hopefully by then the little NIMBYs will be sheltered from the elements. [Gothamist]
