The Brooklyn Paper has more on the controversy on the Greenpoint waterfront over the Brooklyn Night Bazaar, a proposed market with a sizable beer garden/nightlife component. Entrepreneur Aaron Broudo is looking to recreate the night markets of Asia on an unused West Street lot, but residents don't want the crowds or the proposed 2am closing time. Said one, "I don't want drunks and hundreds/thousands of people buzzed and using my stoop and garbage cans." Did she actually say "slash?" This crisis is getting more fascinating by the minute!
