Market Reports

Crain's relays some interesting findings from the just-released 2010 Corcoran Manhattan Townhouse Report: "Last year, 196 townhouses were sold, up 61% from 2009, according to the Corcoran Group ... Single-family townhouses led the surge, with sales activity soaring 68% in 2010 from a year earlier, according to the report. Sales of multi-family homes for two-to-four families rose by 54%." What's the reason for the surge? The increasing popularity of HGTV's House Hunters. Just a theory. Download the PDF report here. [Crain's]
