Harlem Gentrification Watch

More fun with census figures, this time from the Daily News, which takes a look at the results and complaints of undercounting from a Harlem/Washington Heights/Inwood perspective. It also gets into the g-word when talking about one Harlem Assembly District: "The 70th AD lost 11,001 blacks, though it saw saw a net gain of 3,722 people because of an influx of 9,624 more whites and 1,902 Asians. This is evidence, to some, of Harlem gentrification." What photo does the Daily News use to illustrate this trend? A Starbucks, of course. [NYDN via Harlem Bespoke]
