What was once the cursed Deutsche Bank Building down on Liberty Street will soon be a rendezvous point for visitors to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Until then: Who wants a swim!? DNAinfo reports that the site has been intentionally flooded to make sure the ground doesn't suddenly explode or something. (We're paraphrasing.) There are chemicals in the water to make sure it doesn't become a mosquito breeding ground, but that's not what makes the 60' by 160' pool green. It's the natural lime in the ground! And if what we know about green ooze is correct, expect the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to leap out of that lake and save us from the Foot Clan any second now.
