Hudson Heights Condo-Turned-Rental Hits the Market

New, 7 comments

Some Washington Hudson Heights buildings are only just thawing, but Hudson 192 is already up to room temperature. The 85-unit rental building, planned as condos until the recession made that a risky proposition, has just hit the market, according to DNAinfo. It's aiming for a downtown vibe way uptown, at 700 West 192nd Street, if a downtown vibe can be conveyed by a garage and fitness center. One other thing about the building has a downtown feel: the prices. Studios range from $1,395 to $1,650/month, 1BRs from $1,700 to $2,400/month, and 2BRs from $2,400 to $2,600/month. Model unit photos and floorplans in the gallery above. The uptown twist? The units are rent-stabilized. Is that enough to justify the prices?
