$6 Million Park Imperial Apartment Finally Finds a Buyer

Apartment #66D in Midtown's Park Imperial really took the "Park" part to heart in its listing photos, which have far more to do with the apartment's views than its interiors. Of course, given that the place is a 2,169-square-foot 3BR, 3.5BA, the interiors aren't bad either. So it was a bit of a puzzler when the apartment failed to sell at its $6.9 million asking price in 2008 and then returned to market at the beginning of this year for $6.25 million. (It last sold for just under $2.9 million in 2003.) This time, things have gone more smoothly. The apartment sold earlier this month for an even $6 million, according to a deed that hit public record today. It's going from one bigwig to another: the seller is Harold Kahn, chairman of the board of Wet Seal. The buyer appears to be Jarl Mohn, founder of E! Television Networks and also known by his radio/MTV persona, Lee Masters.
