$1.125 Million Williamsburg Condo is Now Free of Drag Queens

New, 8 comments

When it comes to selling your Williamsburg condo, the third time's the charm. At least that's what Mill Building resident Leila Shams hopes, and she's not taking any chances. The Wall Street Journal reports that Shams bought her 1,750-square-foot loft in the North 3rd Street condo conversion for $888,741 in 2007. She outfitted the space in a "very over the top feminine—kind of drag-queeny" way, including lots of chandeliers, faux animal heads and hot pink. That may have turned off some buyers, so now that Shams is extra serious about selling her apartment?the price has been reduced from $1.225 million to $1.125 million?she has scrubbed the place clean of her flamboyant personality. Is it better as a white box? Check out the listing for more Plain Jane pics.
