Oprah's Designer Buys New Blank Canvas in $3.35M Village Co-op

Last we checked on the real estate doings of Oprah-blessed designer Nate Berkus, he was renting and redecorating an apartment at Jean Nouvel's 100 Eleventh Avenue. But Berkus has since cleared out for a place of his own, at 19 West 9th Street. The Observer reports he just closed on the place, pictured and floorplanned above, for $3.35 million, above the ask of $3.295M. The 3,000-square-foot, 3BR, 3.5BA duplex co-op has rooftop development rights. Maybe Berkus will take some redesign inspiration from Uma's old place next door.
