WEST VILLAGE?It was indicated that Richard Meier knockoff Hudson Blue might be reborn as condos after the failed development was scooped up for $8.4 million in a foreclosure auction (the building was 80% finished). A neighbor, who sent us the above shots of construction stirrings, said work has been going on at 423 West Street for about a month now. Leo, want another crack at the place? [CurbedWire Inbox]
MIDTOWN?Yesterday word leaked about financial troubles at the Cassa Hotel and Residences in Midtown. It was also reported that a bid had been made on the building, and today Cassa developer Assa Properties announced that the hotel portion of the West 45th Street tower "has entered into a binding contract with an international investor to be sold for approximately $130 million." The sale will pay down Cassa's debt, and it doesn't affect the condo portion of the building on floors 27 to 48. Assa Hospitality will continue to manage the hotel. [CurbedWire Inbox]
