New and newly light 'n' glassy 949 Park Avenue had to re-announce itself recently after a few very quiet months on the market. The hi, we're here! sushi may have done the trick, because the 949 Park team tells us the condos are ready for occupancy and one-third of the building is in contract. The sliver building has only six units, and the StreetEasy page doesn't yet show the two that have found buyers. But it does look like the PriceChopper made a recent stealthy stop on Park.
A bunch of listings were taken off the market and replaced with different unit numbers at what appear to be lower prices. The penthouse, for example, is now #PH1 and asking $5.995 million instead of $6.57 million. Apartment #2 has replaced #DUPLEX2 with a price of $4.4 million, instead of $4.775 million. Still, this seems to be the more successful glassy neighbor.
