Jeffrey Chodorow is not only a successful and famous restaurateur who starred on a reality TV show, publicly feuded with a New York Times restaurant critic and scored his own Eater logo: He's also a convicted felon, and, it turns out, the owner of three combined apartments high up in the Trump Tower at 721 Fifth Avenue, a building with its own fair share of reality TV experience. Now El Chod is selling his 3,700-square-foot spread, officially #38FGH, for $16.4 million, making it the Trump Tower's current priciest listing. He spent a combined $5.35 million on the apartments in 2004. No photos or floorplan on the listing yet, but the place sure sounds nice, including the (how obvious!) chef's kitchen:
A masterpiece of style and design, this spectacular apartment (10 rooms into 7)has been created on the premier corner of Trump Tower affording a magnificent residence with truly spectacular views of Central Park and the City from this world class location. At approximately 3,700 square feet, the apartment offers a dramatic living and entertaining area, chef's kitchen, bar area, laundry room and a separate corner office/den, all with sweeping exposures north to Central Park, west and south to the City displaying many of New York's most iconic landmarks, such as the top of the glorious Crown Building and the Empire State Building, as your views. Two of his newest creations, Food Parc and Bar Basque, are located in the Eventi/Beatrice tower, maybe Chodorow got a good deal on a rental? After all, renting is the new buying for the city's elite, and this is a man that understands crust, upper and otherwise.
