Quadriad Realty Developers is pretty serious about its plan to build a few tall and pricey apartment towers in Washington Heights, and one of its tactics for getting permission is a redesign of Gorman Park at West 190th Street and Broadway. If Quadriad goes with its two-tower proposal, it would leave the park as-is. But in exchange for permission to build four towers, Quadriad would give the park a significant overhaul. By "significant," Quadriad means regrading the park's slope, adding benches and security, making it accessible, and paying park maintenance. Worth it for another two towers? [DNAinfo; previously]
