It's been a long road for 870 Park Avenue, peppered with PriceChopper visits and even a divorce. At last, the house has found a buyer, according to The Real Deal. The 11,875-square-foot house with a Robert A.M. Stern-designed facade, which last changed hands for $8 million in 2008, was most recently asking $24.5 million. But that's significantly abridging the story: after an initial listing at $23 million in 2004, it was listed for $33 million in 2008 and chopped to $26.75 million, $19.95 million, and $17.75 million before arriving at its final ask. This time around, a tipster tells us, the house had multiple offers. But it required a $200,000 fix-up before the buyers appeared.
