The Upper West Side's Metro Theater is still struggling to find its next act after a nasty eviction battle between owner Albert Bialek and the tenant. Having contemplated an Urban Outfitters, a gym, and a mall, the new likely tenant is Wingspan Arts, a non-profit arts education group that hopes to build a three-floor theater/education complex in the Art Deco building. But Wingspan has yet to sign a lease and other tenants are still touring the space. [NYT; previously]
